Hello!

    ¡Hola!

    שׁלום

I’m Johanna Shemesh, a detail oriented graphic designer, specializing in editorial design, information design, and visual identity design.

I love playing with layouts, grids, and typographies. I am passionate about creating effective design solutions, and presenting information in a clear, timeless, and engaging way.

I studied Visual Communication at Centro, an art school in Mexico City, and I have over 5 years of experience working with national and international clients.

I enjoy working with people who are pushing for positive change in our world, and who want to solve problems through beautiful and thoughtful design solutions. My professional experience includes working with design studios, public institutions, non-profit organizations, and as an independent designer, collaborating mainly on cultural and social projects. I’ve been lucky to work with clients such as: Cinema 23, IMCO, The International Paralympic Committee, Mexico City Sports Institute, Kinrgy, The Expert, and several inspiring wellness startups, visual artists and designers.

My work has been featured in Design Boomthe Franz Meyer Museum, and at the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño. You can also explore some of my work here.

Besides design, I also love yoga and meditation, minimalism, sustainability practices, nature, philosophy, history, social and environmental studies, art, photography, books, films, and music. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature either hiking, surfing, longboarding, camping or just exploring.
